FLASHING AND COVERS

Fit ﬂashing and covers in the sequence indicated in the installa-

tion instructions for the window and the ﬂashing respectively. The

individual parts have a number on the back that in most cases also

indicates the installation sequence.

Note that there are left and right parts.

FLASHINGS FOR PROFILED ROOFING MATERIALS

When installing ﬂashings for proﬁled rooﬁng materials it is import-

ant that both foam gaskets and the ﬂexible part of the bottom

ﬂashing section ﬁt tight to the rooﬁng material to avoid drizzle,

driving snow etc entering under the ﬂashing.

For installations using --W ﬂashing variants it is recommended to

chamfer the rooﬁng material below the window before ﬁtting the

bottom ﬂashing section (a).

Position the bottom ﬂashing section temporarily and shape the

ﬂexible part to the proﬁle of the rooﬁng material. Remove the ﬂash-

ing and then bend the ﬂexible part (b) slightly before re-positioning

and ﬁxing to the bottom frame of the window. Bending the ﬂexible

part ensures a tight connection to the rooﬁng material.
