Special installation conditions

Roof window installed as skylight

• Provide vapour barrier to shaft. Connect

to roof window rebate and existing ceiling

vapour barrier if present.

• Insulate the shaft and depending on the

insulating material establish a wind barrier

on the exterior of the shaft.

• As the windows are installed out of reach,

white ﬁnish polyurethane windows GGU

requiring a minimal amount of mainte-

nance are ideal.

When determining position of the light shaft,

consider supported walking areas, ventila-

tion channels, chimneys and antennas/aeri-

als within the roof space/construction.

Ensure all trimming work is carried out to

structural requirements where necessary.
